This Privacy Policy describes how Fridge ("Fridge," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Fridge mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
We take privacy seriously. The data Fridge collects about your kitchen is the core of what makes the Service useful — and we want to be straightforward about what we do with it.
1. Information We Collect

- Account information — name, email address, password, and (optional) profile details when you create an account.
- Kitchen inventory data — items you add to your fridge, freezer, or pantry, including quantities and expiration estimates.
- Cooking history and preferences — recipes you've cooked, ratings, modifications, dietary preferences, and free-text feedback (e.g., "what would you change next time?").
- Receipt images — photos of grocery receipts you upload for OCR processing.
- User-generated content — posts, comments, reviews, and tips you share in the Potluck community.
- Communications — messages you send us at [email protected] or through in-app support.
Information collected automatically
- Device information — device type, operating system, app version, language, and time zone.
- Usage data — features used, screens viewed, taps, session duration, and crash logs.
- Approximate location — country and, optionally, city-level location to surface relevant recipes, stores, and pricing context.
- Cookies and similar technologies — on the Fridge website, we use cookies and similar technologies for analytics and to remember your preferences.
Information from third parties
- Online order integrations — if you connect your Instacart, Amazon Fresh, Walmart, Whole Foods, or similar account, we receive order details (items, quantities, dates) to update your inventory.
- Receipt OCR providers — we may use third-party OCR services to extract data from receipt images. Those providers process images on our behalf under data-protection agreements.
